South West Norway

The Obrestad lighthouse facilities were commandeered to be used as part of the German’s coastal defence system during WW11. The lighthouse, built originally in 1873, was automated in 1991 and the buildings later renovated and now used for holiday accomodation. After our night spent at the Obrestad Fyr we continued along the coastal road heading towards the nearby Old Haa Vicarage and Viking burial grounds.
